What is the septic plan? Can the existing/old septic handle the expansion?
Was the City of Peekskill notified?
Why are they not listed on the EAF?
Was the City of Peekskill given an opportunity to be Lead Agency?
Has the Town of Putnam Valley, the Planning Board or Zoning Board already received a copy of the reported DEC violations?
The Citywide Automotive business is larger than many of the other similar businesses in the county. These similar businesses are not allowed to operate in
a “Neighborhood Commercial” (CN) Zoned area.
Given the scope and size of their business, why is Citywide Automotive not required to operate in a commercial or industrial zoned area?
Why has the Town of Putnam Valley allowed this over-expansion of an automotive and towing business to operate, especially in such close proximity to the Peekskill Hollow Creek and Residential wells, City of Peekskill watershed,
especially in such a hydrologically sensitive area?
It has been suggested that the Town of Putnam Valley should re-evaluate the 1995 decision and remove the “Neighborhood Commercial” (CN) Zone at 824 Peekskill Hollow Road.
It has been suggested that the Town of Putnam Valley and the City of Peekskill take a very “hard look” at how they can protect the Peekskill Hollow Creek, City of Peekskill watershed, and residential wells for future
generations.
How can the Town Board, Planning Board, Zoning board, Inspectors and Attorneys look at these pictures and not see how this is environmentally dangerous, a threat to the Peekskill Hollow Creek, wetlands, City of Peekskill water supply, residential wells and completely inconsistent with the community character under CN Zoning?
How many of these vehicles, which are within several feet to the Peekskill Hollow Creek and wetlands are leaking fluids near this hydrologically sensitive area?
Who is monitoring for potential leaks and making sure that any leaks are not damaging the environment? (Perhaps it's the same people who have already received violations from the DEC for filling in the wetlands).
How has the Town of Putnam Valley allowed this previously small auto repair shop to expand into a sprawling Industrial site polluting this residential environment?
Why are there so many large diesel vehicles at this location that do not serve the local community?
Are they bypassing mandatory smoke, opacity, testing, or safety inspections, and environmental rules that apply under DEMA, but not in Putnam County?
Why are they allowed to operate here when they are clearly not serving the local community under CN neighborhood commercial zoning, but obviously serve the greater metropolitan areas of Route 6, 684, 84, 87 & 287 as advertised on the Citywide website?
Why is Citywide Automotive allowed to operate 24/7 with large diesel trucks, generating noise, late-night traffic and a building that is “lit up” all night?
Can our Local Government Representatives please take the necessary steps to prohibit these types of Outside Repairs which are an obvious danger to the environment and produce unmonitored runoff that migrates toward surface
water, the Peekskill Hollow Creek and directly affects residential wells?
Can our Local Government Representatives please take the necessary steps to prohibit Outdoor Storage of a vast array of what appears to be unsanitary used auto parts and materials, rusting and decaying into the ground within just feet of
the Peekskill Hollow Creek?
Can our Local Government Representatives please prohibit the burning of unknown materials, that give off an unknown type of smoke, that takes place behind the area surrounded by a black fence within just feet of the Peekskill Hollow Creek?
Can our Local Government Representatives please address the improper use of Peekskill Hollow Road and the space underneath the Taconic Parkway overpass as a Citywide Automotive employee parking lot?
Has the Planning Board retained independent environmental consultants, hydrogeologists, wetland scientists, or traffic engineers?
How will outside agents be selected?
When will a formal wetland delineation be completed by a qualified wetland scientist?
Has the Planning Board evaluated groundwater contamination pathways,nearby residential wells, aquifer sensitivity, and downstream water quality impacts?
Has the Planning Board evaluated violations already issued by DEC?
Has the Planning Board evaluated truck turning radius, sight distance, road wear, emergency access, and safety impacts to school the bus stop?
What is the anticipated timeline for Positive/Negative Declaration, consultant review, and final site plan action?
